a. QR Code Data

The app uses the device camera to scan QR codes during the registration process. The data extracted from the QR code is used solely for registering apps with LiveConfirm and does not contain personally identifiable information (PII) unless explicitly encoded by the app's service provider.

b. PIN and Biometric Data

The app asks users to set up a 6-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) for authentication. You may also choose to enable biometric authentication (fingerprint or face recognition) if supported by your device. The biometric data is stored securely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

c. Push Notifications

The app may collect your device's push notification token to send push notifications related to Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and payment consent requests. Push notifications are required for key app functionalities such as approving or denying login and payment requests.

We use the information we collect to:

• Register your device with LiveConfirm for use in MFA and payment consent processes.
• Authenticate your identity using PIN and/or biometric data.
• Send push notifications to notify you of MFA, account, or payment-related activities.
• Improve the app functionality and security features.

We do not share your personal information with any third parties, except in the following cases:

• With your consent: We may share information if you provide explicit consent.
• Legal obligations: We may disclose your information to comply with applicable laws or regulations, legal processes, or government requests.

4. Security of Your Information

We take the security of your information seriously. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard the information collected through the app, including encryption and secure data storage practices. Biometric data is stored locally on your device, and we do not transmit or store this information on our servers.

• Camera Access: You may choose not to grant the app access to your device’s camera. However, this may limit the app’s functionality, as QR code scanning is required to register apps.
• Biometric Authentication: Enabling biometric authentication is optional. You can choose to use a PIN instead.
• Push Notifications: You can manage your push notification preferences through your device settings. Disabling push notifications may prevent you from receiving authentication requests.
